How JobPilot helps digital marketers get hired
JobPilot compares your marketing resume with each posting, shows which channels, platforms and analytics tools the job asks for that your resume doesn't mention, and tailors your resume using only the campaigns you actually ran. Campaign results appear only as the real numbers you give it.

What makes a digital marketing resume stand out?
-
Platforms are screened by name
Postings name ad platforms, analytics tools, SEO tools and email or CRM platforms. Yours need to be listed by their exact names.
-
Results without context
"Increased traffic" says little. The channel, goal, budget and real result show what you can do.
-
Generalist or specialist
Some postings want an all-round marketer, others one channel. Your resume should lead with what the posting needs.
-
Tools change names
Platforms are renamed and replaced, such as Google Analytics 4. Use the current names of tools you have actually used.

See pricingWhat should a digital marketing resume show?
General guidance. Report results only with numbers you know, and say over what period.
| Section | What to include |
|---|---|
| Channels | SEO, paid search, paid social, email, content or affiliate marketing: the ones you have run. |
| Platforms and tools | Ad platforms, analytics, SEO, CRM and email tools you have used, by name. |
| Campaign results | Real metrics such as budget, click-through rate, cost per acquisition, return on ad spend, leads or conversion rate, with the time period. |
| Testing and strategy | A/B tests, audiences, landing pages or content plans you planned or ran. |
| Portfolio | Links to campaigns or content you are allowed to share publicly. |
Resume or CV: what changes by country?
The document is the same: a UK or Australian CV is what US and Canadian postings call a resume. What changes is the wording postings use. Ad and analytics platforms use the same names in all four countries. UK and Australian postings often use British spelling, such as "optimisation" and "organisation"; use the posting's spelling for skills you list.
| Country | What the document is called |
|---|---|
| United States | Usually "resume". A "CV" usually means a longer academic or research document. |
| Canada | Usually "resume"; "CV" is also used. |
| United Kingdom | Usually "CV", meaning the same kind of document as a US resume. |
| Australia | "Resume" and "CV" are both used for the same document. |
Will JobPilot make up campaign results?
No. JobPilot never invents numbers. When a bullet could use one, it leaves a [placeholder] for you to fill in with a real result, or remove.
Will it add a platform I have not used?
No. If a posting asks for a platform your resume does not show, it is listed as a gap. It is added only if you tap "I have this" and confirm it.
How should I show freelance or agency work?
List it like any other job, with the clients or industries you can name, the channels and your results. JobPilot can then match it against postings like any other experience.
Does it work for content, social and email roles?
Yes. JobPilot works with any posting that has a written description, including content, social media, email and performance marketing jobs.
